Color Separation Vector Art
For screen print on any cloth. The design must be split down
into one color file. The job to split each color is called color separation.
There may a fee charged with color sep, which is depend on the art, file, and
size of design and qty of order. There are lots of terms, which are used to
describe the issue of a design. For e.g.
One color
Spot Color
Spot Color with Halftone.
Complex Spot color.
Four Color Process
Simulated Process
One Color
In short, there’s no color sep involved in one color print.
The films and screens look the same as the art file we receive. In this case,
we’ll just size up the image. Then add some labels and go!.
Spot Color Separation
When a design has very basic and solid color filled. That
easy to recognize. We refer to the sep type as a spot color. But it depends on
the shirt type. We need to not lose our quality as we go bulk in qty.
Spot Color with Halftone
This way is hard than spot color. Designs are plain and use halftone
shade or dots in small parts. Hence, no more gradients.
Complex Spot Color Separation
These files take in many colors in a large design. Also 3-D
effects and complex design use spot color sep. This is to say they’re also used
for a lot of layers, complex shadow. Hence, other effects are used along those
lines.
Four Color Process
Mostly live image use 4 color process. For example 3d face,
color art, and full back design. It is based on 4 colors (CMYK). It is the most
used way in the paper print shop. The basic part of CMYK color print is a
skill. If your vector is just as you want to CMYK print. After that, you opt
for the best result.
